Mommy venting group

So recently I was invited to join a "mommy venting group" I am not sure why but this just struck the wrong cord with me. I felt like if I joined that I would simply be going on the internet and bashing my own kids. Telling everyone every little thing they did to piss me off that day. I just don't get why this idea would attract someone. I admit I  from time to time will comment about how Dexter took a permanent marker and drew on all the walls in the house and it made me mad. Or how Max seems to know every time he has a clean diaper on he needs to crap in it. But the things that really get under my skin I save for when my husband comes home or I am with a close friend who I feel will understand my frustrations and not judge my kids. But join a group online? Doesn't that seem like bullying? What would I do if my kids found out later in life that they bothered me so much that I had to go online and talk crap about them to be less angry? I love my boys so much and that thought just hurts me. I would never want to be the one that made them feel self doubt. Made them feel like they weren't good enough or they were "bad" kids. Maybe other women don't have the support I have from my husband, mom and friends and they can't get it all off their chests some days. Or am I being ridiculous? And talking about how much your kids bother you in a group of strangers online, is the same thing as calling your mom cause your kids just won't take a nap and its been a long day and you need to hear "this to will pass". I feel like if your kids bother you that much you should stop having kids and go back to work. Being a stay at home mom is not for everyone. Its hard, its thankless, and you don't see results of what you have done for at least 18 years. And the entire world thinks your are lazy and do nothing all day. So if you aren't happy and you need to talk crap about your kids to a bunch of strangers why not go back to work? Your kids would probably get more out of day care then they are home with a un-happy mother who just sees her kids as bothersome little people. Just let you kids go play with other kids where there is structure and support and not so much negativity. Right?
Okay now you can all tell me I am crazy and just took this the completely wrong way..

Green Apple supply store review.

Lately I have been noticing my toy room is over run with broken plastic toys. To say it is frustrating is putting it mildly. When I walk into toy stores now all I see if future junk. I have seriously a new hate for plastic toys. I may have a problem. So when I started to try and find stuff for Max's first birthday I decided I was just going to do wooden toys for hopes they will last longer. While looking for toys and books I found a new website called Green Apple Supply Store. This store was like any other I had seen before. Their toys were actually affordable and they have more than just toys too they have everything you need for green living!  They had a lot of stuff to choose from and a lot of their stuff was made from recycled material.
I was given the opportunity to review one of their items and I choose their Glob Paint kit. I know I know I was looking for stuff for Max and got something for Dexter instead. But we have paints that I hate because they are filled with chemicals and are super expensive  This kit was only $12.60 so I thought this was something I would normally buy and thought it was best.
Glob paint kit review-
glob- Paint Kit
The kit Includes
6 compost-able jars with lids
2 bamboo brushes (cruelty-free) in a rice paper pouch.
Our brushes have a sustainable bamboo handle with cruelty-free taklon bristles and ferrule made from aluminum.
6 VIBRANT BOTANICAL COLORS: Lemon Verbena, Blueberry, Pomegranate, Tangerine, Plum Purple and Basil Green.

Our experience-
the packets come inside another packet. I like this because then I don't have to worry about it making a huge mess once its opened. All the ingredients are all natural and nothing I can't pronounce!

The paint without water.

after adding a little water.

I really like the brushes odd I know. But they are easy to paint with and not cheap flimsy brushes that you can only use once!

Dexter loved mixing the colors.

They were a little watery but Dex didn't mind!

see he loved it!

we then decided to paint him. They washed off without even needing to scrub.

Mom got in on the being painted action.

I really like these paints and would definitely recommend them to a fried! I love the website and will be getting more things from there!

So what is Green Apple Supply Store?
In 2004, Stephanie Tobor learned that her 3-year-old daughter had Juvenile Ideomatic Arthritis and that environmental pollutants are known to contribute to the illness. With the understanding that volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other harmful chemicals are in everything from household cleaners, glue and paints to water bottles, plastic utensils and toys, Stephanie began researching alternatives. The results not only changed her family’s lifestyle, but also provided a non-profit resource for green products that other families can use every day—Green Apple Supply.

Stephanie’s biggest challenge was finding green products that are both high quality and affordable for the average consumer.  With the growth of the green industry, the marketplace is flooded with ”eco” products of varying reliability and effectiveness, and most are too expensive for the general population to embrace. Stephanie found the volume of green buzzwords on packaging dizzying and often misleading. Manufacturers and retailers appear to be using the strong interest in eco-friendly products as a justification for cost-prohibitive price points.

Green Apple Supply was born out of Stephanie’s personal mission and heartfelt belief that eco-friendly products should not be a luxury; instead, they should be readily available to the masses.  Established as a non-profit source for green home, school and office supplies, Green Apple Supply sells hundreds of essentials and gifts that are, in most cases, 50 to 60 percent less than traditional mark-ups on retail products.  Consumers can buy a range of items from BPA-free and PVC-free sandwich bags to plant-based paints, biodegradable calculators, banana paper journals and more for just slightly over cost.

Through its website, Green Apple Supply also offers an opportunity for its visitors to donate.  The money raised online furthers the organization’s goal of making eco-friendly products accessible to everyone nationwide and throughout the world. For more information, visit www.GreenAppleSupply.com.

Beginagain toys review

I first heard about BeginAgain toys on Facebook. One of my friends had liked a picture they posted. The first thing I noticed about the picture was how cute their toy was! I immediatly wanted to know more about the company so I looked them up, and sure enough their toys were all equally cute. I have a new love for wooden toys, and these are pefect. After learning more about their toys I knew I wanted some, okay all of them. They are made with natural wood and paint that is safe for babies to put in their mouth! I love them. When I got the opportunity to do a review I was so excited!
Or experience with BeginAgain toys-
We were offered two toys, a push around and an earthworm.

Ahoy, Li'l Buccaneers!

I love books. I love reading to my kids. My kids love books. My kids love me reading to them. I am very happy that I have been able to teach my kids to love books. Even Max at almost a year old loves books. Sometimes he will crawl off to his room and sit next to his book shelf and stare at books. I love this. So I am constantly on the hunt for new books. I have lots of books for Dexters age but I really wanted more for Max too.
Recently I was sent a book to review from Sterling Publishing. It is called "Ahoy, Li'l Buccaneers!". I thought only Dexter would really like this book since it wasn't loaded with colorful pictures and was mostly about the words. So when we got the book I sat down with the boys and read it. Then read it again. and again. Basically I read them the book 5 times before they were satisfied and could do something else. Dexter's something else was to be a pirate!
I really love how into this book they both get. Max likes to point at all the pictures and it is easy for him to turn the page. Dexter loves the story and likes to say the words with me. He also stares at the pictures and asks me "what is that?" about everything.
I think this is the perfect book for both kids big and small. The age range says 2-5 but I don't think Max can ruin this book since it doesn't have any flaps and the pages are sturdy. He can also follow along and is entertained by it.  Dexter is almost three and he loves the book. He can follow with the story and he likes all the pictures.
About the author: Ahoy, Li'l Buccaneers! and Giddy Up, Li'l Buckaroos! are Mark Iacolina's first published books. Mark has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for more than 15 years. He lives in northern NJ with his wife, two children, and two cats.
You can buy the book here for $6.95 and it is well worth the money.
Hours spent looking at the pictures.
