BabyLegs review!

So by now I am sure everyone knows my recent obsession with baby leg warmers! Well I have to be honest it all started with one pair of BabyLegs I saw forever ago! So when I got the opportunity to do a review for them I was so excited. I love all their leg warmers and socks so very much!

We have moved!

So as many of you know we recently moved. I could not be more excited!!  We moved from Kingsland to Huntsville AL. I don’t know anyone here but hey it can’t be any worse than there! When we were talking about moving my husband said he was nervous because he had never been there and did not know what was there. All I could say was “Well I have been here and I know what’s here, so lets leave!” I loved the town I lived in. I loved how small it is, even though every time my mom visits she HAS to tell me its so “po-dunk” haha. But I think it is the perfect size. I also liked that we have a zoo close by. But that is about all I like. I have been here four years and have managed to make 3 friends that I still have. I had more but they moved. That is the number one thing I hated about there is my friends moving. I think it would be easier to explain why I hate it here with pictures so you get a real idea of what “Love town USA” really is. Do not let Oprah fool you, this place is far from Love town and the city of Royal treatment!

And while I am more than ecstatic to get rid of the gnats and overly ummm “friendly” people I really will miss some things about this place.

IMG_1237

I will miss our first house. The home we brought both kids home to. So many great memories here! It is a little hard for me to look at our home all boxed up and to know the house I thought we would live in for at least 10 years will now be someone else’s. I really loved our home and I wish I could take it with me!

I will miss our Zoo. I love taking my boys here! It was such a close drive and we went almost every other week!

I will Miss Aunt Jen SOO much! I love her and her kids! She is the most amazing woman I have ever met. I hope one day I can be half the mom she is. She really taught me a lot while I was here. Mostly to calm down and its okay if the kids are loud! She was always ready to go to Chipotle with me when I was pregnant with Max and that is ALL I wanted! She is also the only person non immediate family I have ever left Max with!  Her girls always brought a smile to my face. They are strong fierce little girls who LOVE Max and Dex so much! Her boys were never to cool to not play with my babies and always ready to let Dexter play when they were out throwing the ball around! I really love her and her family and will miss them terribly!

246.CR2-001

I am not sure who will miss the Davis family more, me or Dexter. You see Dexter and Katey, well these two are like gasoline and fire! They just feed off each other. What do I mean? Well for example the other day at the park they both ran off well I was chasing them down they run to a baseball field, Katey holds the door open Dexter darts in and then she closes it and they try to lock me out! hahaha. They are seriously so cute together, but oh so much trouble. I will miss the whole family though, and I will really miss our play dates. Bethany is so easy to talk to and she never judges me. She knows what my house really looks like, how Dexter really acts, she has seen me nurse Max and drop food on his head (and then eat it anyways), and still she likes me! I really am going to miss her and her family!

071072

We will also really miss game nights with the McDonald's. The family not the restaurant. Every time we have a game night it is always so much fun. I love their sense of humor. I have also loved watching their kids grow. We have known them since their youngest was about to be born and it has been so much fun watching him learn and become a toddler. I love watching Alexa play with Dexter, even though sometimes they fight like siblings, she is always so sweet to him. She really has a heart of gold and I am going to miss. I am going to miss going to Joann’s with Kara too.  We have not gone in a long time but when we use to go it was always so much fun! She didn’t care that I wanted to look at *everything*!

Magic Whiteboard review!

I was offered an opportunity to review a Magic Whiteboard . After looking at their products I was intrigued. I loved the idea of being able to move the white board from room to room with out ruining the walls. I also liked that I could put it on the walls without damaging them! So you may be asking yourself right now what exactly is a magic whiteboard? Well! its a white board that is like a sheet of paper and clings to the wall. Here is the description from their website:

Lovable Labels giveaway!

Lovable Labels is giving away a Friendship pack to one lucky winner!

Neighbors.

Before I write this I want all my friends to know they are more than welcome to have their kids come play with Dexter. My neighbors are more then welcome to walk down to my house and talk with me and let our kids play. Heck if you want to leave your kid here to play with Dexter while you go run errands go ahead! I do not care at all, in fact I like having kids over to play with him. With one exception, when someone just leaves their kid with me without even talking about it. Or even saying hi to me.
The other day I was coming home from the store I could tell Dexter was almost asleep. I was more than excited to go inside put him to bed and have some down time with Max in the quite. As I pulled into our driveway I noticed his friend was outside with her mom. I was really hoping he would no see her but he did. She saw him to and came running down to visit us. That was fine I thought, I would let them play for like ten minutes then we would go in and go to bed. Well the problem with this is the 3 year old girl came alone. Her mom did not come with her. Which is not un-usual for this family they let their kids run around by them self all the time. the oldest boy is in charge of the other three kids I think they are about 8, 7, 5, and 3. Which I think it is a bit much to ask your 8 year old to watch out for that many kids, and 3 year old need adult supervision but whatever parents all make different choices.
Well they start playing and I put Max in his stroller so I could clean up a bit and I look down the road and she has gone in her house! She did not bother to walk the two houses down to ask my permission to watch her kid. Just goes in, see ya later. I was ticked but I decided to just make the best of it and let them play, well 30 minutes pass and there is still no sign of her. Then comes the rest of her gang all to my house. The school bus let out and they all decided since she was over they all should be. So I have 5 kids in my garage playing when it was supposed to be nap time. She was still not out.
After a bit I notice Dexter is doing his I have to pee dance. So now I have a problem, I need to take my child in my house to go pee but there are 4 other kids in my garage and well I just don't feel safe letting them all stay there while I go inside. Someone needs to be watching these kids, a garage is not a safe place for them. Well he starts to pee so I decided I will just take him in. Max is super angry by this time because he wants to be taking a nap but I can't go put him down. So we go inside Dexter pees Max screams. I change Dexter trying to be as fast as I can I change him and we go back out. When I open the door I see that these kids have built sand castles in my driveway. And they are building more. They have dug up my yard and put dirt in my driveway. I don't know about  you but I found this UN-acceptable. I look over and the other mom is outside just sitting on a chair in her driveway!! What the hell lady!? Come over and watch YOUR kids! I told the kids they needed to clean up their mess and leave. They cleaned up about half of the dirt and left. They did not pick up any toys. I ended up watching them for over an hour!
After they left I went in and put Dexter to bed. Then me and Max went outside to put all the toys in the garage so I could close it, I got informed by the older boy that those kids like to come in our garage when we keep it open and play. Which you know if they got hurt in my garage with out any supervision or my permission that mom would be the first to sue me. The whole time I am picking toys up Max is screaming and that mom just watched. She did not tell her kids to go help me, she did not come over to help me. Just sat there and watched my clean her kids mess up with my screaming 7 month old in my arms.
Can you imagine just letting your 3 year old walk down to someone else's house that you have never talked to? I have never had a conversation with this woman and she feels comfortable enough with me to leave her kids with me. I have a friend who lives two houses down from me and we go over to her house some days. Both my kids and I will walk over and Dexter will play with her grand daughter, we talk a lot and I have had her babysit Dexter before. But never would I let him just walk down there and expect her to watch him. I think that would be so rude!
Why do I get all the crazies?

Red letter paper Co. Card review!

I use to work with this girl who LOVED cards. I mean adored them. For any reason she would go buy a card. For her it wasn’t just birthdays it was far beyond that. She is the kind of woman to give you a card for all occasions, and it always made you feel great. I got a card when I went on maternity leave, had a baby, came back to work, Christmas, birthday, stopped working. I am surprised she did not give me a card when she moved. Me though, I have never been much of a card person. I love getting them they make me feel special but I hate picking them out. I hate reading 500 words, I hate the corny pictures on them, and well usually they remind me of old people. I can never find “modern” cards. Something cute that I would see on Pinterest. Then when I buy a more “Christian” card I feel like I am shoving my religion down other peoples throat and that is not how I like to come off.

So when I read about this company Red Letter Paper Company I wanted to see their cards immediately. They claimed to be modern, simple, and Christian. I really did not think it could be possible. But it is! When I first visited her Etsy site I was blown away! They almost look like simple wall art that you can hang up. I have to say for the first time in my life I wanted to read ALL of their cards. I clicked on every category and stayed up way to late reading them. I think what I really love most about them is their simplicity. You just can’t find that in cards anymore. I also love that everyone of them has a bible verse on the back.  They are all beautiful verses too. They are very inspiring.
For the review she asked me to pick out two Love cards. I think I must have written the email to her about ten times because I could not make up my mind! I wanted every single card. I even wanted one of the mother’s day cards just to give myself.. :o). Here are the two I chose

Lovable Labels review

Don't you hate it when you go to a friends house and their kid and yours have the same toy or other item? I do. I hate that awkward moment when you have to ask "Is this mine?" I feel like I am accusing them of stealing our stuff. Or I hate feeling like I know it is but I don't want to take it and have them think I was stealing their stuff. Or when you send your kids to day care or school with a lunch box, bag or even just pencils and it never seems to come home again?

The hovering mom.

When Dexter was about 14 or 15 months I got called a hover mom by some old man at the library. I don't think he realized but I took this as a compliment. The whole situation was typical for me. People seem to say the strangest things to me and this guy was no exception.

My Little Legs Review

image

My Little Legs is an amazing website and I am so excited to share it with y’all!

Recently I have become obsessed with baby leg warmers and have been searching for some high quality pairs, but still affordable! I mean isnt that what all mothers are looking for these days? Well, finally my search is over! I have found the perfect website. Its called My little legs. They  sell more than just baby leg warmers too!

I had a  great opportunity recently to check out my little legs’ leg warmers. They sent me four pairs to review. When I got the package in the mail Dexter helped me open it. I am not sure who was more excited about them! He loved every pair that was in the package and immediately wanted to try them ALL on!

When he put them on they fit him great! They were stretched just above his knees down to his ankles. When I saw that I got nervous thinking surely this would not fit Max to! Dexter is two and Max is 7 months. But when I put them on I was instantly surprised. They fit him perfectly too. They were more scrunched but they were still so cute and they stayed up great.

After being washed and dried they still fit both kids great, held up great in the wash and did not fade! I am so in love with these leg warmers and plan on ordering more! They always have new styles coming in and have styles just for holidays! And they also offer a great discount for the more you buy the more you save! Not only are they leg warmers great but the company was so great to work with. They were friendly and shipped fast. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Now here for some pictures of some adorable boys in some adorable leg warmers:

Dexter likes to dress himself. He loved the Leg warmers because they helped him add “style” to his outfit. I am just glad he did not put two different ones on!

094098

My little legs are perfect for any baby wearing mom! Unlike pants they don’t roll up so babies legs stay warm! They can also be put on the straps of your carrier for extra cuteness and drool catchers since most carriers should not go in the wash.

And of course My little legs are the perfect way to dress up any diaper! And protect little legs from floors while crawling!

Resolutions

I guess its time for me to make my 2013 resolutions. Well I have already made them but its time for me to put them in writing so that maybe I will hold myself more accountable to them if I tell other people what I want out of my year.

Being a yes mom.

I have been following the blog Play at home mom for a while now. Not only does she have a lot of fun activities for kids, but they also make you think about the way you parent. When I found out that one of their children did not know the word "No," it astounded me. That was one of Dexter's first words. Was I really saying no that much? Do I always tell him no? A lot of things it really would not make a difference if I said no or yes to so why was I saying no all the time? So a few months ago I decided it was time for a change. I too am going to be a "Yes mom".

Wordless Wednesday

Late is better than never right?
Today we got to go visit my best friend and her little man! It was so much fun and Max loved having a friend his size.

Noxicare Natural Pain Relief Cream Review

I was recently given some Noxicare Natural Pain Relief cream to try out. I love anything all natural for me, I hate relying on medicine.
