Lazy like me

So yesterday me and the kids went to the library, on our way out we ran into a very uh, lovely, woman. I was walking out with max in his carrier and Dexter holding my hand while I carried the 900 Thomas Train books that he picked out. She looks at me and says "Oh you are being LAZY like me today!" I was for maybe the first time in my life completely speechless. Well I had words in my head but none of them were nice. LAZY? Do you see these two kids hanging off me?? Do you see this giant bag full of books? How do I look lazy right now? I guess she had decided that she had not offended me enough because she kept talking, telling me how she had not even finished her coffee and it took her two tries to light her cigarette and she had quit her job so she could just stay home and do what she wanted. The next words out of my mouth will prove how southern I have gotten living down here. I just looked at her and simply said "Well bless your heart honey we are nothing alike." (If you are not familiar with the phrase "bless your heart" it is not as sweet as it sounds in fact it is a bit of an insult, or rather it means an insult is coming.) Yesterday I got woken up at 6:15 am, that is earlier than my husband wakes up. Max decided he was done sleeping then. I finally got him back down at 7:20am Dexter woke up at 7:35 telling me "Mommy my butt hurts" He wanted a new diaper, got him changed rocked him back to sleep, and finally put him down at 8ish then Max woke up at 8:20. He was up for good, Dexter woke up for good at 9am, I gave Max a bath I took a shower got ready. I mean I actually blow dried my hair! Put make up on, feed both boys (Max is eating solids now too) Cleaned both of them up, got them ready and went to the library. Yes it was about 12 by the time we went but I still do not see how that makes me lazy! Sometimes I just can not believe some people and the things that come out of their mouths! Oh well it gave me a good laugh. Also just so you know this lady was wearing her pajamas I am pretty sure.

Wordless Wednesday

It was a wonderful 80ish degrees here today! We celebrated by going to the park!

So recently one of my friends who is about to be a mom for the first time asked me for my "best advice". I am not sure if I was just in a bad mood due to the old lady who told me I was being "very mean" to Dexter for threatening to let his balloon go if he did not get in his seat, I was not going to let it go it just came out of my mouth. It did work though and he sat in his seat. Or what but when she asked me that all I could think of was to tell her to mentally and emotionally prepare her for the amount of judging she was about to get for the next 18 years of her life. Its sad but true, once you have a kid everyone decides they need to weigh in on how you are doing. It actually may start even before you have your child when everyone and their mom asks you how you are bringing that little sucker into the world. Because trust me I have heard it all and man are moms opinionated on how to get a baby out. I am just glad they are not as opinionated on how to get the baby in there ;OP.  And more often then not it is not anything you want to hear. No matter what your decisions are there will always be that mom that says "You're doing it wrong, let me tell you how I do it". Which obviously is the right way.

Freetime diaper review

 

Recently I received a freetime diaper. First I need to start by saying how much I love this diaper!I got the diaper on Friday and washed it with my other diapers that night. Saturday morning my husband got the boys ready and I was so nervous he was going to be the first one to put it on him. but luckily my husband knows me all to well and did not put it on him. So when I finally got to put it on him I was so excited.

Here is my review.

The fit is great! I normally don’t put “one size” diapers on Max because he is only 16lbs and they just don’t fit right. but this one fits great. It is also so trim. Also usually when I dry a all in one diaper it takes much longer than my other diapers, I line dry all my diapers usually it take 2-3 hours for them to dry. This one however took about the same amount of time. Although Dexter is potty trained I did put it on him just to see if it fit and it did! Dexter is two and 25lbs.

The hook and loop tape is not super industrial sticky

Extra rise above the hook and loop tape makes it leak proof!

Cons

I think that toddler poo would be hard to spray off with this design. But I don’t know yet because I have no toddlers to poop on my diaper. haha

It has a super trim fit.

Since we moved here we have heard about Conners Amazing acres, this year Dexter was old enough to enjoy it! So glad we went.

 

All I wanted was one good picture of them together! hehe. Boys.

Boba 3G carrier review

I own a lot of carriers. I love them. With Dexter I use to always tote him around in his giant car seat. It hurt my arm, and I never got to just hold him. half the time he would cry because he was in it and wanted me to hold him but I couldn’t hold him and the carrier, so I was stuck with a throbbing arm and a screaming child. I had started wearing Dexter when he was about 11 months so none of my carriers were a good fit for a newborn.I do own a Moby Wrap but I wanted a soft structured carrier just because they are quicker.

I had originally ruled out the Boba because ay the time they only had the 2G. Which you can not put an infant in. About a month before I had Max they came out with the 3G. I looked into it and saw that you could carry an infant in it and I got so excited! This was the carrier I had been wanting and now I could get it. I contacted my friend at Hoppers baby Haven and she told me about all the great changes in the carrier. I was so excited to buy it.  She even found the cheapest way to ship it to me. How cool is that!? I got the carrier about two days later and I was so excited to try it.

Four years.

Four years. Four wonderful years of goodnight kisses, hand holding. Four Wonderful years of 'I love you" and "I told you so". Four years of having my best friend by my side. Have you guessed yet what today is? Today is my Four year anniversary with the hubby.

More mushy love crap after the cut. 

Working out 2 months and 3 weeks

I can not believe I have been eating healthier and working out for almost 3 months now and I have only lost 8 lbs. See this is why I don't even bother trying! As you can guess I did not lost any weight again this week. I did find a work out buddy though! She will be going to the gym with me in the mornings! We are going to try to go to some classes too so that should be fun. Nothing really exciting to say this week. Maybe next week I can report back with some better news. Maybe I will lose these last few pounds to put me back down to pre Dexter weight.

This is a South African Cheese, Grilled Onion & Tomato Panini.
It is very delicious  although I did not have any Chutney on hand so I used some Jam. It was sugar free and it was delicious. But I like strange things together so you may want to go find some of your own! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Bragging about my boys!

So I feel like I never brag about how awesome my kids are. But I think I will today. Lets start with my big guy.

That sweet guy right there is the love of my life, well one of them. He is absolutely amazing and incredible  He can already do so much it amazes me every day. He has a big opinion, about everything. He likes to tell me what to do. When he grabs my hand and says "come with me mommy" it simply melts my heart every time. He can count to ten but most times he starts at 3, 1 and 2 are un-important anyways right? He can count up to 3 objects. He talks so well sometimes I forget that he is only two.  He also knows all his colors and shapes. He is fully day time potty trained!!!! He is the best big brother, when Max cries he runs around like crazy looking for his binki to give it to him. He rubs Max's back when he is crying as well. He loves sharing his trucks with him, but gets upset when he does not play back! He is still taking a 2-3 hour nap during the day! Lately at night he comes out of his room and asks to cuddle with me, I say yes every time while Phillip rolls his eyes at us. But he hates to cuddle so much that I take what I can get!!

And then there's one of the other loves of my life. I can not believe he is already 4 months old! He talks up a storm now. Just jabbers on and on all day long. He has gotten a lot happier lately but now his teeth are coming in so he has been a drooling mess! We got his Amber beads on him now so that is helping. He also went to the chiropractor and that helped a lot, he can now look both ways! He is also rolling over! Once he gets started he wont stop. He always does the super man thing when he gets on his belly too. He has also started giggling and I love that sound. I wish I could bottle it up. He does this thing now when he is nursing where he stops and just looks up and me and smiles and I can't take it, its so cute!! 

Well those are my amazing kids. I love them!

Working out 2 months and 2 weeks

So first off I must confess, I went to the gym once this week. I had such a crazy week! My in laws and grandma in law came to town this weekend and I had to clean my house. Like really really clean it! The kind of clean where you wash the baseboards. Also believe this or not my kids were crazy this week too. I wish I had gone to the gym I was so worn out and tired I really needed that pick me up but I lost all my motivation. But to make up for not going to the gym I really stuck to my diet! I had lost two pounds on Friday but that all changed by today. haha I was bad this weekend.. Saturday we went out to eat with our friends on a double date and I did not order anything remotely healthy! Then Sunday I made breakfast pizza and BBQ for lunch! Also my grandma in law left a carrot cake at my house. and well, I have no self control when there is cake looking at me! SO I gained 1 lb back over the weekend. But I am still down 1 lb for the week! I am so close to being back down to pre Dexter weight. I can't wait till I get there then I can start trying for wedding day weight.
So this weeks recipe that I tried comes from Skinny Taste, It is a MUST for foot ball season. It is a lot like 7 layer dip but a little bit better for you!


Skinny Taco Dip
Servings: 24 • Serving Size: 1/24th of dip • Old Points: 1.5 pts • Points+: 2 pts
Calories: 59.2 • Fat: 3.6 g • Protein: 2.2 g • Carb: 4.7 g • Fiber: 0.6 g  

• 8 oz 1/3 less fat Philadelphia cream cheese
• 8 oz reduced fat sour cream
• 16 oz jar mild salsa
• 1 packet taco seasoning
• 2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
• 2 large tomatoes, diced
• 1 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
• 2.25 oz black olives,

In a large bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream, salsa and taco seasoning andmix well with an electric mixer. Spread on the bottom of a large shallow glass dish.Top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and black olives. Serve with baked tortilla chips.
