I think after you have children your life just goes by so much faster. I, like so many other people, can’t believe that this year is already over. It was filled with lots of births, firsts, lasts, and soo many giggles.

So I have taken it upon myself to find a new use for these shirts. Once I started looking I found so many good ideas out there! I could not resist and HAD to put a list together! So here is it.

Guest post- A new moms journey.

Since I have been bloging I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of people I would not normally have met. and I am so glad that I have been able to. Recently I have had the pleasure of getting to know an amazing mom. She has such a heartbreaking wonderful story. I bet you did not know those two things went together did you? I really feel like I need to share her story with you.

Home made apple sauce tutorial

Recently I learned that you can make home made applesauce! And it is so easy! I can not believe I never knew about this before. I really want to share with everyone how to do it!

All you need is

• 2 bags of Apples, I use Gala or Fuji because they are so sweet.
• 1/4 cup of water
• a crock pot.

Step 1.

Peel your apples

Step two.

This is optional but I cut off the tops and bottoms to make it easier to slice.

Step 3

Core and slice and the apples. I bought one of these slicers for $3. I would like a better one but this one works well enough!

Step 4.

Put your apples in the crockpot on low overnight.

Step 5.

Wake up to the smell of delicious apples. Smash the down with a fork if you want yours a little bit chunky. I pour mine in the blender and puree it so I can share with Max.

Step 6.

Put your delicious home made all natural applesauce in jars and enjoy it!

 

If you are not trying to be healthy or sharing with a baby you can add brown sugar or cinnamon in it and it is really good.

Max is SIX months!

I cannot believe it but my little baby guy is already six months old. Its been half a year since I had him! It has gone by so fast. I love this age though I think it is my favorite. I love watching him learn new things. I love the way his face lights up when he sees me. Six months is just so much fun. I thought I liked newborns but I like babies. He is also become a little bit less work. I can now put him down or put him in his jumper for a little while. Which is good because I think my little chunckster weighs almost 19 lbs! I take him on the 13th for his 6 month check up and I am excited to see how he has grown!

He is getting two teeth on the bottom. One has broken through the other is still coming up!

He is so different from Dexter, he loves to chew on stuff. As soon as he starts moving I am going to have to majorly clean up our toys, and get rid of the little pieces!

He is a rolling machine. I can hardly get him to lay still in one place. He literally will roll all the way across the room if I let him.

Can you find Max? He is all the way UNDER his jumper. I had laid him on the blanket to the left and I went in the kitchen to get Dex some milk I came back and there he was.

He is almost sitting up too. He can sit up for about 10-20 seconds then falls over.

Blankie buddy review

I always love finding new toys for Max. I recently came across a company called Vitamins baby. After looking at their website I fell in love with their clothes and gifts! One thing I found particularly interesting was a product they call their Blankie buddy. I immediately loved the idea of a stuffed animal crossed with a blanket. I knew that would be so great for so many occasions. I love giving Max stuff to play with in the car, but as many of you know I am car seat crazy, so I don’t like to give him anything hard incase we get in an accident I don’t want anything to become a projectile and hurt him or Dexter. So I loved that it was soft and he could use it in the car. I also loved that its hands are small enough but padded that Max can chew on them. Its like a soft little teether for him. Another great thing about this doll is it is small enough that I can give it to him in his crib, not now but in a few months, and I won’t have to worry about him smothering on it. It’s enough like a stuffed animal for him to get comfort out of it but its not so big that I would worry about it covering his face. I still would wait a few months though.

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving this year came so fast! I had no time to decorate. I almost felt bad about it, but then I remembered that I am staying here for Christmas and I will get to decorate the crap out of my house!!
This year for Thanksgiving my parents,sister and niece came down for almost the whole week! It was so great having them here! I haven’t seen them since the beginning of October. I hate living so far away from them I really wish we lived closer, I really want my kids to be close to their grandparents and cousins.So I am always glad when anyone can come visit us. This year they also brought their dog. Dexter was terrified of it. I will share a picture of the ferocious beast later. Dexter was super excited to see his cousin though, he always loves playing with her and for weeks afterwards he will ask about her. I think it is so cute. She is 10 years older than him but he still loves her soooo much. And she is always so good about playing with him too. Makes me so happy!
This year my mom, niece and I went black Friday shopping too. I have to say that it is a waste of time if you are not planning on getting any big ticket items. The deals on everything else were about average and I don’t feel like I saved any more money by shopping from midnight till 3am. But I had fun and now I know! I think honestly the best part was when my niece looked at me and said “I don’t really like black Friday shopping, they don’t have out anything that you don’t normally see. This is all stuff we can always buy.” It made me think that she thought they were going to be selling spaceships or something and it made me laugh really hard. Oh the innocence of a child. I shouldn’t say child she is 12. That is another thing that bothered me though, there were so many babies out! I mean like 2 and 3 year old kids! And the parents were getting on to them about misbehaving! Umm you have your kid out shopping at 2am, of course they are acting up! What did you expect? I just didn’t get why they couldn’t find a sitter or only one parent go out. I felt so bad for those kids. I love a good deal but I love my kids not screaming at me the whole time I am shopping more. Do you take your young children black Friday shopping? Is it worth it, what is your reasoning?
We had a great time eating dinner and all, but I think the best part was the boat parade! Well I mean besides my family being here and spending time with my kids. If you have never seen a boat parade I suggest you go to one. Especially if you live near Jacksonville Florida. Its this amazing thing where about 50 boats get all decorated up in Christmas lights and boat up and down the river. It is then followed by the most spectacular fireworks I have ever seen. They light up two of the main bridges with a fireworks waterfall and they have 3 barges that are all have fireworks going off of them. Its amazing. I have been to it the 3 out of 4 Thanksgivings we have lived here. It is by far my favorite part of living in this area. In fact lately I think it is the only part of living in this area that I like. This year though Dexter decided it was to loud and him and dad went and hung out in the bathroom while it went off. If I had not been enjoying it so much I *might* have felt bad for Phillip. hehe.
That was our Thanksgiving. It was really good this year! I am so glad I got to see my family I really needed to see them. I hope next year we will get to see both sides and I will get to see my other sister.

So this is how wonderful my mom is. She taught my two year old to put his underwear on his head. hahahaha. He loved it.
